Requirements for becoming an Access Air Ambulance Flight Nurse

   
Required:

Eligibility for or current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada.
Minimum of 3 years critical care or emergency nursing experience.
Pediatric experience greater than 640 hours if not included in above experience.
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)


One of the following within 90 days of hire:
· State of Nevada or National Registry: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or
   Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P)
· Basic Trauma Lifesaver (BTLS)
· Pre-Hospital Trauma Lifesaver (PHTLS)
· Advanced Trauma Nursing Course (ATNC)


One of the following within one year of hire:
· Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN)
· Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)
· Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)
 

Excellent physical health with full use of all extremities, and no lifting limitations.
Must maintain a duty weight of less than 210 lbs (body weight plus uniform/equipment).

Preferred:

· EMS experience
· Prior flight experience
